* Acetate is an excellent plastic for making accessories and craft items, such as earrings, necklaces, purse hardware, guitar pickguards, hair clips, combs and glasses frames.
* Raw sheets have a matte surface finish. This can be polished on a buffing wheel, in tumbling barrels with wood chips and polishing stones, or with acetone for a glossy finish.
* Cellulose acetate is an eco-friendly plastic made from the extracted fibers of wood pulp and cotton.
